How to convert hourly pay to annual salary

Multiply your hourly rate by hours per week, then by weeks per year. At $25 an hour, 40 hours a week, for 52 weeks, that is $25 × 40 × 52 = $52,000 a year, or about $4,333 a month before taxes.

To go the other way, divide your annual salary by hours per week times weeks per year. A $50,000 salary on a 40-hour week is about $24.04 an hour.

Adding overtime to your yearly pay

Overtime usually pays 1.5 times your regular rate for hours over 40 in a week. Working 5 overtime hours a week at $25 an hour adds about $9,750 a year, bringing total pay to roughly $61,750.
