Free Background Remover for LinkedIn Photos and Side Projects
Your LinkedIn profile photo should look like you on a good day, not like you are standing in a messy kitchen. Product photos for a side hustle post need a clean cutout, not a cluttered desk behind the item. Photoshop and Canva Pro are great, but many people only need one quick edit and do not want another monthly bill or a new login.
Tools N Go offers a free background remover that runs in your browser. No account, no subscription, and your image is processed on your device when the tool supports local processing.
Who this helps on LinkedIn and at work
- Job seekers refreshing a headshot before applying
- Freelancers showing before/after on a portfolio post
- Students building a simple personal site or slide deck
- Retail or Etsy sellers posting product shots
Step 1: Pick the right source photo
- Use good light on your face or product. A plain wall behind you is easier than a busy room.
- Export or save as JPG or PNG from your phone or camera roll.
- Avoid tiny thumbnails. More pixels give the tool a better edge to work with.
Step 2: Remove the background
- Open the free background remover.
- Upload your image and wait for the preview.
- Download the cutout (usually PNG with transparency).
Step 3: Finish for LinkedIn or a post
- Drop the PNG into PowerPoint, Google Slides, or your design app and add a solid color behind you if you want a studio look.
- For LinkedIn, crop to a square and keep your face centered. LinkedIn recommends at least 400×400 pixels.
- If the file is large, run it through the image compressor before upload.
